Happy Halloween

Here are our three children together for Halloween: Eden the princess, Enoch the duck, and Micah the Tigger.

Enoch loved the leaves, it was hard to get him out of the leaves, but the hardest was actually getting the leaves off of him, they stuck to his costume like Velcro!

Welcome home Micah

It's been a long two weeks since Micah was born.  We were so happy to see him come on October 8th, my first time to go into labor on my own!  He was home for a few days and then developed a fever that the doctors weren't sure what the cause was.  After many tests in the Provo hospital they finally found something in a MRI and sent him to Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake for a few days as well.  So after a week in the hospital he is now home again, we are so happy to have him home and be a family again, but this time a family of 5!

We love the Fall

Hello everyone, we are waiting anxiously for the birth of our new little boy, but in the meantime we are enjoying the fall and the simple activities that keep us close as a family:

We drove out to Utah Lake and threw rocks in the water.  The kids got these new boots and Enoch was fearless as he just walked right into the water with his new strong boots...he is all boy.

Nothing like a good ice cream break to cool down a warm evening...

...of coarse some are a little more neat than others, but as long as it is enjoyed, we love it.

We took a drive up the canyon through the Alpine Loop during conference weekend and enjoyed the beauties of nature, and the last few family pictures while it is just the four of us.

Here is Aaron with the kids on a small bridge,

Karla and the kids, hiding her big belly,

Happy together, we sure love our kidos

Our small family of four, for now, in less than two weeks it will be a family of five!  Enjoy what you have now...things will change soon!

Happy Birthday Grandma Timmons

We had a special opportunity to wish a Happy Birthday to our Grandma (and great-grandma) Timmons.  She turned 81 and all of the great-grandchildren came to celebrate.

Here is the entire gang, with my dad and my Uncle Jon, Grandma Timmons' posterity is surely growing

My dad and Uncle Jon

We had some fun party games for the kids, here is the limbo, and Kyla by far was the best at this game

We then had a caterpillar pinata, here Kalissa is taking her swing at it

But it wasn't until the oldest, Sam, took the bat and broke it open for all to enjoy. This was a great party and Grandma surely had fun watching all of the children play together.

Dressing up

So Eden loves to dress up and act out stories for FHE, this helps her best to remember the scripture stories.  She remembers being Peter, Pharaoh and even Nephi.  I wish we would have taken a few pictures to remember these great costumes, but here are the few we have to show:

Here is Aaron....or should we say: Laman

Here is Enoch...or should we say: Zoram

Here is Eden...or should we say: Nephi

Here is Eden...or should we say: Pharaoh

And here is one of my favorites: our Pioneer Children

Bear World and more

Hello family!  A few weeks ago we went on an early summer trip to Idaho and Wyoming.  We stopped in to see Rexburg and Idaho Falls.  These two places are full of memories for Aaron and I as we were celebrating our 5 year anniversary.  These were fun for us, but the kids didn't quite understand the excitement behind it all so we took them to Bear World.  We had deer and bear walk right past our car, which was fun, but not as fun as the petting zoo we saw afterwards:

There were the geese,

the deer,

and the goats.
Aaron was brave enough to feed them all by hand, Eden and Enoch got courage toward the end to touch them, it was fun to see their faces.  After our small day trip to Idaho and swimming in the pool at the hotel, we drove off to Jackson Hole to meet with my sister, Kerri, and her family.  We enjoyed playing with cousins and walking around the central parts of Jackson Hole:

But by far, the favorite place to visit for the entire family was the local Candy Shoppe, it's taken us some time to go through all we've bought, but Aaron still claims that the taffy in Jackson Hole is better than the taffy we got on the Oregon Coast last year.  But as for me and the kids, candy is candy, and we enjoy it all!

It's a boy!?

Well, it is now official, we are expecting a BOY in October.  We were both very surprised when all family trends point to only have girls from here on out, but we got this curve ball thrown at us.  I'm afraid my family might be a little jealous since I am the only one to have more than one boy and as for Aaron's family, it just evens the cousins out with 7 girls and now 7 boys.  Since this came as quite a shock to us it has taken us time to think of boy names, now that we've got to start thinking boy more now instead of girl, but I'm sure by mid-October we'll have a good name for our new little baby.

Garden Time

We've lived in our home for a year now and we were so excited to clean things up in the back yard to have a clean sand box and a garden spot and a few weeks ago we got our garden, before we had all the rain storms.  It's been fun to see the little growth that has happened just within the last few weeks, but here are some pictures of one of the few sunny days we had this month to plant our garden.

Kids playing in the sandbox next to the garden
Aaron preparing the soil for our salsa garden
Enoch getting the flowers ready to plant
Eden and Enoch helping in the garden
The final product, behind me is the salsa garden, the middle dirt box has pumpkin and cantaloupe that have already come up and the third dirt box is full of strawberry plants that are already blossoming.  We haven't had to water much since we've planted, and the garden is looking great! We hope to have a great harvest this year!

Feeding time for Enoch

It's been a while since I made a post...I actually remember this day in February, Enoch was so funny eating his food, I on the other hand started to feel strange and the last few months have been just rough. I didn't realize that a third pregnancy was going to put me out so much. I'm now 15 weeks and feeling better, but not 100% yet. So hopefully with school out soon, we will see a lot more of the Smith family.

Enoch is walking!

So Enoch is now 13 months old, so walking should just come. Eden was 10 months old and walking, Enoch just took his sweet time and yesterday he decided to give it a try. We are so excited to see him walk around, I'm sure the excitement will wear out and we will miss the crawling days, but for now, we will enjoy every moment of the teetering little boy.

Each of us who have more than one child well knows that the oldest can't survive too long without getting some of the attention. So Eden had to sneak in her time for the walking video and share her new learned scripture from Primary. We hope you enjoy this as much as we have.

Christmas 2010

Well, I finally got around to posting our Christmas. Unfortunatly I didn't take as many pictures as I should have, but it was still a great Christmas. With birthdays just past we had a hard time thinking of MORE toys that the kids possibly needed, so I resorted to making some fun pillows (which have been great in pillow fights) instead of covering the floor too many more toys.

Eden Christmas morning. Eden also got an easel with a white and chalk board.

A friend gave us a Ginger Bread House. We had a lot of fun putting this together.

Eden is still just starting to understand the joys of Christmas morning, and I'm sure as the years go by, this scene will be a little more active from both children. In the end, it was a very relaxing Christmas.

Enoch and Audra in the swing

We had cousins stay with us over the Christmas break. It was the first time we had people stay in our home and we loved it. Cousins to play with from morning to night. Enoch had fun with his baby cousin Audra. I never realized how much my boy has grown until I saw him next to another baby. Here is Enoch, Audra and the swing:

Snowman

The week of Christmas we got the most amazing snow storm. It snowed almost a foot over night:

But the temperature was warm and by Christmas it was all gone. But before it melted we took time with cousins to make a beautiful snowman!

Birthdays

December is a busy month, two birthdays and Christmas...so even though these posts are older, I wanted to share in our Birthday joys:

Enoch had his first birthday at the beginning of the month, I can't believe that he is already one! As tradition we gave him his own birthday cake:

It's always amazing to see what a one-year-old will do with a cake. Each child is different, and here is proof:Eden was not as messy, good thing the rest of us had our own cake to eat from.

Then it was Eden's Birthday, she is now three!

We let her choose the kind of cake she wanted. The snowman won and three buttons were perfect for three candles.
We invited a few cousins over who brought her some fun princess gifts. Her Snow White doll and princess jammies (which she is wearing) were definitely some of the favorites.

Birthdays were fun and got us ready for Christmas when it comes to present opening. We can't believe how fast time has gone, we now have a 3-year-old! and our baby is now 1! Time sure goes by fast, but we're loving every minute of it.
